POST APPOINTMENT
Immediately Post-Procedure
Morpheus8 creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen and tissue remodeling. While the micro-channels close within the first few hours after treatment, your skin barrier remains temporarily sensitive and continues to recover over the next 24–48 hours.
During this time, your skin may be more reactive to irritation, UV exposure, and environmental contaminants. Gentle care and sun protection are important to support proper healing and optimize results.
If purchased, PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) or PDGF will be applied immediately after treatment to support the natural healing response and enhance overall results.
The First 24-48 hours
Goal: Support skin healing and barrier recovery
- Cleanse gently twice daily using a mild, non-active cleanser such as the Pavise Cleanser.
- Apply a bland, barrier-supporting ointment or moisturizer (Healing Ointment, Aquaphor, or Pavise DAD) as directed. These products help protect the skin while the barrier recovers after treatment.
- Avoid unnecessary contact with the treated area.
- Use clean pillowcases and keep hands, hair, and pets away from the face to reduce irritation and contamination while the skin heals.
Day 3-7 Post-Procedure
Goal: Continue healing while gradually resuming normal skincare
- Continue gentle cleansing twice daily using a mild, non-active cleanser, such as Pavise cleanser.
- Avoid active ingredients such as retinol, retinoids, exfoliating acids, and vitamin C during this time. Hyaluronic acid is safe to use, as it supports hydration without irritating the skin.
- Makeup may be resumed on Day 3, if desired.Be sure makeup brushes and sponges are new or thoroughly cleaned prior to use. During the first week, keep your routine simple, less is more. While the skin surface has healed, it may still be more prone to irritation as deeper remodeling continues.
- Daily sun protection is essential. Use a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen (zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide). We recommend Pavise DAD. Avoid chemical sunscreens (including oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, and octinoxate), as the skin may be more sensitive following treatment.
