DERMAL FILLER

One of the most noticeable signs of aging is volume loss. Over time, volume can diminish in areas such as the under-eyes, cheeks, and lower face, leading to changes in facial balance and a tired or less youthful appearance.
Dermal fillers are designed to restore lost volume, soften lines, and enhance facial contours while maintaining a natural look. When placed strategically, fillers can improve facial harmony, address asymmetry, and support the structure of the face, helping you look refreshed rather than overdone.Treatment is fully customized based on your facial anatomy, goals, and areas of concern, with the focus always on subtle enhancement and natural-looking results.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

How long do dermal fillers last?

The longevity of dermal fillers depends on the type of filler used, treatment area, and individual metabolism. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers typically last 6–18 months. Collagen-stimulating fillers (such as Sculptra®) may last up to two years or longer as they stimulate your body’s natural collagen production. Individual results vary, and maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain results.

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients experience minimal discomfort. Many dermal fillers contain a built-in local anesthetic (such as lidocaine), and a topical numbing cream may be applied prior to treatment to enhance comfort. Patients generally describe the sensation as mild pressure or a brief pinch.

Are there any side effects or risks?

Common, temporary side effects include swelling, redness, bruising, and tenderness at the injection site. These typically resolve within a few days. Although rare, more serious risks such as infection, allergic reaction, or vascular complications can occur. Choosing an experienced, qualified provider and following pre- and post-care instructions significantly reduces risk.

What is the recovery time after dermal filler injections?

Most patients return to normal daily activities the same day. Mild swelling or bruising is common and can usually be concealed with makeup after the first 24 hours. Any residual swelling typically subsides within a few days.

Can dermal fillers be dissolved or reversed?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid–based fillers can be safely dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, allowing for adjustment or reversal if necessary. This provides an added layer of safety and flexibility.Non-hyaluronic fillers cannot be dissolved and require time to naturally metabolize.
